A tough, drought-tolerant native with intense orange flowers attractive to many varieties of butterfly, especially to Monarchs.  Occurs in dry fields and roadsides in most of the U.S.

    Location/habitat: Good for a dry sunny slopes, dry fields, roadsides.  Full sun, good drainage and little water. Deer resistant
